Young leave show a number of punctured and light yellow spots on the upper side, especially on the leaves closest to the bottom of the plant.
Beanfly larvae mine through leaf stalks and stems, which later appear as silvery curved stripes.
Don't plant beans next to older crops of the same variety, and leave as much distance between plants as possible
During early growth (2-3 weeks after germination), Cover roots with mulch (i.e banana leaves, rice straw, or grass)
Monitor for damage and control 4-5 weeks after germination
After the harvest collect, bury or burn crop debri
